    Hi Vince,

I want to import a sample of my ballpoint pen handwriting, trace it, and have it result in only ONE SINGLE PATH. ie., a single path traced along my ballpoint cursive handwriting.

Is there a way to do this? Right now, the Tracer is coming up with a stroke outside my handwriting… which it now considers a Fill.

Any tricks you can share to achieve this?

    Thanks, Dave

If there is a lot of text you probably won’t want to do this but you could trace over the image with the pen tool. If had to do it I would lock the image so it doesn’t move. I would trace it with the pen tool as a really thin line in a contrasting color. You can go back and adjust the lines with the anchor points. Once you have it the way you like it you can play with different line widths and different brush strokes to match the image. Then change the color to what you need and unlock and delete the original image.

Probably not the easiest way especially if there is a lot of writing but you could probably get it pretty close.
