    Hi!

I’m never happy with the results that get using time remapping function in Premiere, I never seem to get them just perfect. But when I’m just scrubbing with my mouse on the timeline it looks amazing, just the way I would want it. The Question is, how can I record this in a smart way? There must be some way to do it!

I mean, I could always just shoot my computer monitor with a videocamera while making the scrub but that would seem pretty stupid considering we are living in a digital era. I could also try to use a screen capture software like camtasia, but I think those don’t have framrates that are high enough and would because of that introduce jerkynes. Is there anything that I could connect on the DVI output of my videocard to record the picture with good results? What would be the professional way of doing this? Any help would be highly appreciated!

Use AE for the remapping if you aren’t getting it in PPro. You are limited to the frame rate of the project properties an NTSC is 29.97 PAL is 25 that will be the best of what you can capture using any screen recording software because that’s what the software is showing.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Is there really absolutely no way to record the DVI-output of my videocard then?

For screen-capture above 29FPS try Fraps.
Fraps will crank up to 100FPS/2K HD

I think you might want to be more specific as to what you want. Capturing the interface is a pretty extraordinary step for some slo mo…

Have you tried simply right clicking on the clip and adjusting the speed?
