I think my audio is muted on my timeline!
I recently completed a project. I later divided it into 3 episodes by copying the sequence & deleting what I didn’t need. While working on number 3, I noticed there was no sound for my prior episodes, or my main sequence. I have reason to believe my grand daughter may have touched a button during my absence. I checked the audio meter, and there was no movement at all. I also checked to the left of the timeline to see if any of the audio icons were different…nothing was out of place. Its as if the whole thing is muted. WHATTODO??!!

Check to see if the audio role is disabled.

Thanks T. Payton. How would I do that? I’m self-taught, and still learning the lingo & ins & outs of FCPX.

At the Bottom left of your screen you’ll see 2 icons. On which looks like a film roll and another that’s rectangular with lines in it. Click the rectangular icon to open up the Timeline Index.
Once it’s open, click on the Roles tab within it and check if your Audio Roles checkbox is unchecked.
