I think I want my old crop tool back – do I?
Used to be, back when (old habits die hard) I could choose an x and y dimension (in pixels) and a PPI in the crop tool parameters and when I said “go” it would scale whatever I had cropped down to that size. I can still do that but I have to give it dimensions in “inches”.
A) I’m not a print guy so I work in pixels
and
B) Only two countries in the world still work in inches so what is the rest of the world supposed to do?
I have checked my units prefs and its set to pixels. Was I out sick when this changed and didn’t get the memo? -

A relatively simple solution is to set the pixels per inch to 1…
In the tool options, that is.
