So I have been using FCP6 for about a year now and love it….. but I don’t know how I did this latest blunder. I must have missed something very basic.

I can no longer drag clips out of the viewer window. They just stay there and move around as if you are setting basic motion in the canvas window.

I am at the end of my rope. can’t find an answer anywhere…..and yeah…I am under a deadline….Can anybody help?

Sounds like you press the W key and turned on Image+Wireframe in the viewer. Go to the View popup at eth top of the viewer and switch it off, or with the window active press the W key a couple of times.

    All the best,

    Tom

Yep! That was it…..that’s what I get…..A serious case of HIA for being up all night…..thanks….I will get back to my books soon.

Never used the wireframe before so never bothered to learn it.

    Regards,

    Jes

Probably not the solution for you unless like me you have a German keyboard or changed your language settings – I just recently had this same problem living here in Austria and working off of a German keyboard – I changed my language settings to English, forgetting that I have a German keyboard (or not realizing it matters) whereby the z and y keys are switched- after resetting back to German it works again…or I suppose I could also have tried apple+y
