    Hello,

I am using Sony Vegas 9.0 and I am having difficulties with the rendering. You see, I just finished my short film using Vegas and the video files themselves are MTS files from my Sony HDR XR500 camera. The problem is, whenever I try to render these files to a MTS2 file they always lag whenever I play them back on my PC or my PLaystation 3. I would like to render these files to a MTS format (The same format they are) but I don’t see that option to render it that way when I look under the formats to render it as. Can anyone please help me out or give me a clue on what I am doing wrong? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Your camera shoots AVCHD therefore you should use the Sony AVC render type with the appropriate AVCHD template (AVCHD 1920×1080-60i). This will keep the video in the original format.

Render it in that template as a MTS2? Would you know why it lags on my PC or a Playstation 3?

What do you mean by lag? Do you mean the video and audio fall out of sync? Do the native files play smoothly?
