I now have Adobe CS6 and am new to it – have an importing video question

Hi Don,

The solution is simple – import into Premiere using the Media Browser (the tab for the panel is usually at lower left in Premiere). This will intelligently recognize spanned clips and import as one long clip.

Important – copy entire contents of SD card to your hard drive, intact, do NOT copy just the video clips. The original folder structure is important to have for proper results.

I am not sure but I think CS6 will only do P2 or XDCAM EX cards.

Ann – you must be correct about the P2 card only _ SO

Is there a way in any of the other software’s that come in this Production Prem CS6 that I have not learned yet? Like Prelude or On Location? I dont know what either of those do yet but am learning.

Don,

Media Browser in CS6 most definitely supports AVCHD but I don’t know exactly what type of footage you have or from what camera model, you didn’t say
