pls david can i have ur email address so that i can send u the sample image of the effects am talking about, the effects is acually in Ciara 2008 video featuring T-pain and the title of the video is GO GIRL. check out form begining of the Musical video u find the effects there, is somthing like audio wave composite on the body and slice the body, i tried out the wave form in after effects and used alph,luma and other method but not yet get wat i need. pls can i have ur email address or u can send me an email to m2studio_ng@hotmail.com so that i can show u the picture of the effecst from the video.

I think you’ll want to look at a combination of effects. I’m not exactly sure what sort of effect you’re looking for, but under the distort menu there are a variety of effects that may be useful. There is no one effect that’s going to do what you want; if you want to emulate this effect exactly, it will require a lot of work. There is a reason music videos cost lots of money.
It looks like a combination of distort effects, channel shifting, noise, and some sort of venetian blinds look. They’re all relatively simple to do, but to get them to look this way can take quite a long time and lots of experimenting.

I think i can understand myself now but the effects i really want to know is that which was used in justine timberlake’s video titled: lovestone. -
I’m not sure exactly what effect you’re asking about and I’m not in front of my AE machine at the moment, but Audio Spectrum and another effect (perhaps called Audio Waveform…no promises) used as a track matte for your footage might work.
