[Bouke Vahl] “Small festivals get (often sponsored) FCP or alike sets to play out to projectors, and they often require ProRes.”
The Prores requirement is OK; what doesn’t fits is asking for a Data DVD.

They probably just asked for a data DVD because most of the films are very short (its a shorts festival)
Probably didn’t give it a lot of thought.

I stand by my thumb drive suggestion. Its the only way to give them the file format they want.

Is this a data DVD or a DVD+/-R?

Compressor has a setting acclimated for HD DVD as well as SD DVD. If they are playing these on a mac, you’ll end up with great quality by using the HD DVD setting for MPEG-2, then import into DVDSP and burn.

Thank you to everyone for your replies!

Yes I didn’t think there was anyway to get it to such a small size, thanks for confirming that.

I am sending it to the festival on a USB stick like suggested (Apple ProRes 422), along with the a smaller H264 on DVD just incase.

    Cheers!
