    I have a shot with a person in the background and foreground. I’m interested in creating the effect of rack focus. How can I create this in Red?

    Hi,

    You can try using the z-blur filter to emulate a rack focus effect, where the foreground is clear but the background is blurred (or vice versa) or you can also achieve this by using the built-in pixelchooser matte/masking system within the filter. Or you can roto the foreground object and feather the roto then blur the background.
