i need buttons to be transparent except when you are in selected mode

Have you loaded some of the standard templates — they have hidden buttons that get highlighted when the button is selected.

NOTE: This only shows a “highlight” when the button is selected. To get full-color buttons for “selected” state is a different story (more complex, and not necessarily as “responsive” during playback).

ok the thing is that i want the highlight to be a full colored image, not just a simple color…

can’t use fullcolour pics as highlights.. the DVD spec don’t allow it.. you have to cheat by using multiple menus or full solid colour highlights the same colour as the background (which hides the colour pic underneath)
