I need a small canon camera to capture from?
Posted by Delano Bryant on November 7, 2007 at 4:49 pmI want to ingest footage shot on XL2 or XL H1 via firewire from a small cheap camera. Instead of using my bigger cameras.
Is that the color red you want to use?

November 7, 2007 at 5:16 pmPick any one you’d like.
Any home video DV camcorder will work just fine.
There is no quality difference in the transfer because you are just ingesting a digital file of numbers from the tape via FireWire.I have a half-dozen small camcorders that I use for this.
Paid under $150 for each of them, from local pawn shops.
If one fails (none have to date) I can just toss it and grab another.
