We usually cheat here for things like depth of field and motion blur but in this case it’s about the only time I’ve used physical up at high (it just takes too long). I can’t say if it started out with the usual two buckets, but a hundred frames in, there’s just one lonely bucket moving about . Is this a function of quality level? Does it need both buckets working as one to do the higher sampling? Is this normal? (we’ve been seeing some other idiosyncrasies that might point to the card, so I’m looking for the smoking gun)

I don’t know what conditions it appears in but a single bucket is fairly normal.
