Activity Forums VEGAS Pro I know this has been asked to death, but another Project Settings/Render As Settings question

    Dare I ask…yep…me thinks I shall!

    Can you–in layman’s terms–explain the difference between bicubic and I think the other is bilinear.

    What’s the difference and how does each work?

    I don’t know the exact algorithms but both sample nearby pixels in an effort to guess what the missing pixels would look like in a resized image. Bicubic tends to produce a sharper image at the cost of being more calculation intensive and thus slower rendering. I guess it does more work at trying to create smoother gradations in color than bilinear does.
