I know it’s weird ….
I know its a weird thing to ask but I need to capture some HDV tapes into FCP 7 and re import the same media files later into Avid news cutter!what’s the best workflow to follow so can get the best quality possible when I import these files into Avid?
The problem is that the Avid suites belongs to a TV station with a very closed complicated ingest system .so i need to deliver the rushes in files form and the only accessible equipments to me is a MacBook pro with FCP7 and a Sony HDV 270 camera!

Download the Avid QT codecs from here:
https://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=350875
Convert the footage to DNxHD 115…if the newcutter can view that.
