I hit record and I hear the camera recording…
Hey all,
I have never experienced this before. I have the HM 700 and I am using a Sennheiser ME 80 connected through a xlr mic cord in to the HM 700. Lately I noticed that the audio is extremely low when recording and when I turn it up in post I can hear the camera record in the footage and when I monitor it during a shoot. I am a little weak on my audio side of knowledge. Any ideas?Chuck

Try using manual levels for your mic. If you use auto mic gain it will boost the signal as high as it can trying to get a louder signal to record and will record unwanted sounds.
