  • I have found solution for BAD LOOKING OUTPUT OF FOOTAGE

Hi, since first version of Premiere CS4 I had a problem when exporting PROGRESSIVE footage from Premiere, and many users have posted the same problems.

I will tell again – the main problem was when exporting PROGRESSIVE footage, like animations, graphics….they all looked very bad and with jugged edges, and that is because bad communication between Premiere and Media Encoder.

I have tried everything, and finaly found a solution – I made a new preset for SD sequence, which is progressive (default presets are in fields), and now my output is same like original material, even without USE MAXIMUM RENDER QUALITY checked.

So, when U are exporting PROGRESSIVE, U MUST make a new custom preset for sequence, even if U have BLACKMAGIC/KONA/MATROX…..

    I hope this will help….

    Hi,
Can you explain how to do this.
I have the same problem but it’s when I have AE created video (containing graphics) mixed with regular SD captured footage.
Itlooks great in the timeline but Media Encoder leaves the AE footage with bad anti-aliasing lines.

    Thanks.
    Lucien
