I have a feature animation I’m delivering (first time) What compression?
I’m delivering a feature animation (90minutes). I’m wondering what the “legal size” should be and what compression settings I should use to maintain color. I rendered out a rough cut and it came in at 6gigs. Most tutorials I’ve found are for vlogers.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Where are you delivering it to? If it is a video platform, use their specs. If it is a theater, make a DCP or ask for specs. If it’s something else then ask for specs.

This is a film for cross platform. DaVinci was kind enough to provide compression specs for the most popular platforms… So, I guess your answer applies. Thank you for your time.

When you run into compression issues, come back with results as to which one worked or didn’t.
Since you didn’t post any specs, it’s hard to figure out where you are.
From my experience as an animator, there is a varying color spaces to deal with.
From traditional cel scanned to digital, cg, or rotoscoped, they all have different issues in the end.

And Cross Platform would indicate you are probably going to need several outputs.
