I HATE the Vegas 12 PRO color scheme…
This idea if micro icons on a dark grey background is just as bad as silver grey micro type on a black wireless mic case!@
It looks pretty for about an hour.. until you get a migraine from looking at the screen.
How can I get the nice clear background like I had in PRO 8??.
I don’t mean to sound negative , it’s just my eyes are killing me right now and I cant look at this computer another minute.
I hope someone has a solution. Pardon me if I missed it in the posts. I’m seriously having a problem with this. I just pulled up V8.. and it’s not me.. Pro 8 looks fine… everything in 12 is so darned small. I need a magnifying glass to read the toolbar. This is ridiculous.

After giving it a rest, I unchecked the vegas “color scheme and restarted it.. and it came back in the “normal” mode…
Sorry for the panic attack.. my eyes still need to recover!

Yea, in Vegas Pro 9.0 they started with the dark background. I like it a lot better because all of my other video editing tools (After Effects, Mocha, etc.) have the same dark style so it’s all similar. It sounds like you found Options | Preferences | Display and unchecked the option to Use Vegas color scheme so you should be back to the lighter colors. Enjoy.
