I sent a series of clips on my timeline to Motion to add some video effects. I’m unhappy with the results, and now i just want the original clips back on my FCP timeline. Instead, I have the grouped series of clips that were sent from motion. Does anyone know what I’m talking about and how to get my clips back? I basically want to undo the send to motion.

No help now I know, but always duplicate the clips onto another layer first and send them

    Brian,

You can always just do Undos until your clips come back onto the timeline. Which brings up another point. Having come to FCP from an editing app that had unlimited undos, make certain that you up the number of undos to something like 50 or so, just in case you need to get back to previous state as in this case.

See if you can’t get it back from the Autosave Vault (File Menu/Restore Project).

    All the best
