    Hi All:
I have a question about keying with an alfa. I created a lower third in photo shop, and made an alfa channel for it. I saved the flattened layers with the alfa. I then imported the graphic into Final Cut pro. I put it on the top layer, but the key was not cutting. Can someone guide me through the process of keying with an alfa, as well as getting the graphic to look it’s crispest.
    Thanks for your input.

Click the graphic into the Viewer (left) Window. Then:
Modify (menu) > Alpha Type > Straight

If the key is “inverted” you may need to choose:
    Modify (menu) > Reverse Alpha

    Roy,

FYI it actually spelled and called an Alpha channel.
