sir i think there is misunderstanding about velocity sync. im not trying to sync the audio in slow motioned clip. its fine when there is no audio on my clip with velocity

my problem is , imagine when i cut clip middle of the video and add velocity on it, next clip ”from cut” starts further or from behind.

if i cut one side and apply velocity for rest of the video then i cut where i want to end then audio goes out of sync for clip without velocity

Hi,

Make 2 splits.
1 – at start where you want to apply event velocity
2 – at the end of that scene

BEFORE you do the velocity thing.
Apply velocity change, and tweak the ending/starting timecodes so that they are continous.

The only way an audio event (what Vegas calls a clip) has time code is if it was recorded in something called BWAV (broadcast wav) format. This is usually only done in high end (expensive) audio recorders.

Hi,

I never met timecode in audio, Mikes post makes it clear why…

But I tried to do what you did:
Split the event, and added velocity envelope to the second.
Added some points to the envelopes, that basically made sure, that audio got out of sync from video.
The last point of the velocity envelope was set to 100%. After that point I did split the event, so if you follow me, now you have 3 events too.
From the third event remove velocity envelope. (Right click / insert remove envelope and remove check mark from velocity…)
Now drag this third event few frames away from the split point.
Does it get pink? For me it did ?
This usually means, that Vegas thinks AV sync is destroyed. what a surprise, it really is.
Right click audio or video, and choose synchronize by slipping.
I think you’re done 🙂
