no i experimented and used a lot of these presets in a compressor called stomp. i saved out my tiff sequence, compressed them in here and when i opened the compressed version up in fcp they were still to soft.

OK, so forget about that “stomp”.
Do what I told you: Open the sequence with QT and export to Animation, Prores or whatever other quality codec. Just need to set the “frames per second’ you want your movie. Keep the same size.
As I told you, you could export that as “256 Grays” (Your picture is B&W. You don’t need the 3 RGB channels) that makes files 3 folds smaller than “Animation Millions”
