  • i can’t see gray in photoshop

    when i work in photoshop all the gray colors look brownish and not gray.
    but if i save my work and look at it in another program everything look just fine.
    what can i do?

    Maybe check your color management and color mode settings. To narrow down the problem, you might also determine whether it’s happening with all images and/or file types or particular ones. And, have you seen your eye doctor lately? Sorry, couldn’t resist.

    thnks for the reply.
    i ried playing around with the color menagment but it idn’t help.
    it doesn’t happen in one kind of file, its even in the color picker, it jus won’t show me the grays.
    what can i do? it drive me nuts working without seeing the grays
    oh yeah i’ll take your advise on seeing my eye doctor 🙂

    The only other thing I think of is monitor calibration, but that’s likely not the problem since you say the files appear correctly in other apps. Maybe try trahsing your PS preferences…on my Win2K system, the file is:
    C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorApplication DataAdobePhotoshop8.0Adobe Photoshop CS SettingsAdobe Photoshop CS Prefs.psp

    that didn’t help either, i even unistalled anr reinstalled the program but it didn’t help
