I Can’t Render In Sony Vegas Pro 8..What should i do?
i’ve been going crazy these days i’ve been working on a project for about 3 weeks now and now i can’t render it…i know what the problem is, some of my clips were rendered in HD and now when i render in HD it say error and something else, and then it shuts down!! and i now i’ve been trying to render it in MP4 format it only goes half way to were some of the clips were rendered in Hd and then it freezzes!!! and the program shutts after that!! WHAT SHOULD I DOO?? PLease help me 🙁

I’m not sure this will help but I have had the same problem many times. I now have a faster computer and don’t have the issues but you might try to have no other programs running when you render.
Also check to see if your memory settings are high enough. I have mine set for 500 and that works for me.
I’m not the expert other users are but I hope that might help.

What may be happening is that you are running out of ram. If you try rendering while watching under the Performance tab in Task Manager you might see the ram consumption going up and up as the render progresses. If so try the following.
As you are in v8.0xx try this. Render as/(file name) select AVI then select Template as ‘HDV 1080-60i intermediate’, or 50i as the case may be. This is a Cineform intermediate ‘I’ frame based codec that was in v8.0xx but not in 9.0xx. This may solve your problem, as it doesn’t appear to be a memory hog. If you render out your project successfully then try rendering to MP4 from the Cineform file. Post again as to any success or lack of. Sadly Sony are having some serious problems with some of the long GOP formats when it comes to long timeline renders. Sony is aware of these issues and hopefully there will be answers soon.
