  • I can’t hear audio in AE7 and CS3

    I’m trying out the AE CS3, but After effects doesn’t seen to play audio out. Instead, I get this fps error in red in the info area that says fps: 30.1/59.94 (NOT realtime)This is my first time with this program so youcan see, I do not know what to do here. Please help

    Howdy,

    The fps warning is totally normal, AE is just telling you as you are rendering the playback and it is not in real time. The audio problem make sure you right click in a blank area of the comp window and select Preview/Audio. Then hit “0” on your numeric keypad, not your spacebar to render the comp.

    yep, RAM preview with audio marked on.
    you can also do : hold the CTRL key and scrub throug the timeline, if everthing is okey, you can here your sound.this is better for timing and stuff, you can also use markers for timing (the star/asterix key on numberpad to make one)
