    Hi

I’m not to sure about the envelope velocity (I hope someone can answer your question there)

however, what I usually do to make a still frame is to:

    1. Go to the frame which you want to make the still frame.
    2. Set your preview quality to Best(Full)
    3. Click the Save button next to the preview video
    4. Then import the still frame

another way, and I’m not sure if this is the best, but it’s quick and dirty…

    1. Go to the particular frame
    2. Use S to split the event, and cut a very tiny frame and then just stretch it out.

This works for me when I want to extend out the end of a frame just a bit longer as a still image.

Again, I’m not sure if this is the best way, as I’d think the first example would be better overall, but it’s quick.

    Hope that helps.

You need Vegas Pro 8 to get this feature.
None of the Movie Studio versions of Vegas have it.
