May 23, 2010 at 1:02 amThanks very much John! I had no clue I could do this! Thanks for sharing.
Funny how life took you from a “full time” musician to video. Life is interesting indeed.
Thanks again for your help,

May 24, 2010 at 2:14 pmHi John,
I’ve been experimenting with this. I have a couple of questions:
1. How did you create the 3D beveled look?
2. when I’ve crated a mask using the bezier tool, How do I move it around freehand? I can use my arrow keys to move it up/down, side/side but can not find a way to rotate it. (ie. I may need to rotate it to adjust it slightly.
3. When I begin by creating my lower third with the media generator (gradient), if I like my gradient full-size, how do I adjust it’s size by “squishing” it? When I just use the crop tool, I end up having only a portion of the gradient i created. I want the whole thing, but “deformed”/squished thus retaining the entire gradient.Gilles

That’s a combination of a featured edge and applying the Sony Bump Map.

There is no way to rotate the mask. You need to draw it exactly as you’d like it to begin with or move the points one at a time into the position you want.

The crop tool only crops. You can squish it with Track Motion or you can create the original gradient lower in the frame by moving and/or adding gradient points.
