    When I try to merge (import) the illustrator files, I managed to get the background (two blocks) to show up… but when I try to import the text (two words “ray” and “lux”) It just wont even appear.

    Somehow in the one of the dozens of imports I tried I got just one of the words to appear, which made no sense. Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

    I am using CC.

    I haven’t watched the tutorials, but maybe you need to convert your type to outlines in Illustrator before saving down to Ai 8.
