I already edited H.264
Posted by Jamey Barr on December 25, 2010 at 9:35 amI made the mistake of editing and completing a small project for a web video that was shot on a 5D thus H.264 codec. I have had lots of issues along the way but I have completed it and I am having issues exporting. Is there any good way to change my sequence codec and then re-export?

December 25, 2010 at 7:56 pmYeah, and if that fails (be sure to check the exported file, as it may not be what’s in the sequence), then you need to transcode each shot you’ve used to ProRes, and conform a new sequence to these transcoded files.

December 27, 2010 at 4:27 amI tried to export the h.264 sequence using the prores codec and the resolution and lost frames and other issues were still there. So I then just right clicked on the sequence within FC and selected send to Compressor then converted it, and it created a .mov file that seems to have corrected the issues.
Does anyone have any opinions or comments on that?
Thanks

December 27, 2010 at 12:08 pmYou’re experience isn’t the norm… but if the self contained ProRes version of the sequence is OK, the compression for delivery should also work OK.
