I accidentally deleted my quicktime movies that were connected to my final cut pro project. I used a program to recover the files called Data Recovery. It recovered the files however the audio only plays with some white noise and there is no picture to the file. Has anyone out there had this happen to them before? if so where you able to recover your files successfully?

Sorry to have to tell you, but it’s very common that recovered media files typically do not play as expected. Yes, they claim to occupy large amounts of space on your hard drives, but the reality is they are corrupt shells of the original files.

    Try datarescue or drive genius.
But you dont have a backup or master of your source files?
