  • HyperNURBS subdivision renderer settings not working?

Posted by Rob Ainscough on May 5, 2010 at 5:17 am

I’m probably missing something, but in C4D 11.5 (core) if I set the Subdivision Editor = 2 and set Subdivision Renderer = 6 on a HyperNURB and then render, it renders the object as is (aka value of 2) and not the higher geometry 6 setting??

Is this a bug or am I just missing something?

    Thanks, Rob.

The render setting only applies to rendering in the picture viewer. If you render in the editor window you get the subd level specified in the editor setting.

FWIW if you really want the detail in the Editor Window renders you can also select ‘Display/Use Render LOD For Editor Rendering’ which will give you the same detail as the Picture Viewer but it’s the slower too.
