  Picked up a unit the other day (finally) Did the firmware upgrade to get the latest compression codecs etc.

  Just now going through it to find what works well, what works ok, and what still needs lots of work.

  Would love to hear other opinions of those who have been playing with it.

  Recording out of Avid and FCP both seem to work fine if using a crash record or print to tape setting in the programs, but am having trouble getting the files on disk to have my timeline timecode.

  Capturing into either program doesn’t seem to be an issue at all.

  I have successfully played back files created in Avid Media Composer and Avid DS on the box Both these files kept the timecode from my original timeline.

  Haven’t hooked it up to an HD deck yet, but that may be todays test. Looking into how it records timecode, and plays back timecode.

  What are others finding?
