  HyperDeck shuttle vs iMovie

  I’m looking at buying an HyperDeck shuttle.

  I would use it with Final Cut Pro.
  However, I have a team of volunteer editing and publishing podcasts with their own laptop. The shuttle would also be used with this team.
  As the podcast editing is very basic (insert intro loop, type title text, insert captured video, insert outro loop and export) I have trained this team to do it with iMovies (it saves me from getting more FCP licenses).

  My question is:

  Are the H.D. shuttle file formats compatible with iMovie (or can they be imported by iMovie)?

  If it is, it would definitely be what I’m looking for.
