    Hello,
Now that it supports DNxHD, is it possible to hook up a 2.5″ hard disk drive instead of a solid state drive like a Western Digital Scorpio? If I’m only capturing compressed HD files? Is it fast enough?

No, If you plug the HD into the Shuttle or the Studio they will not recognize the drive at all.

Keep in mind that the shuttle is also running on battery power and the requirements of a spinning platter drive are MUCH higher than an SSD. The power of this system is its size, durability, battery life, and now, flexible file structure. Using a spinning drive would lessen the run time, destroy the durability factor and generally compromise the design. And for the price, these are still a smokin tool!
