I have a cube that I made into a Hypernurbs object, and I set the subdivision editor to 1, but the subdivision renderer to 3. It looks boxy in the orthgraphic view, but it should render as round. But it’s not. It;s rendering based on the settings for the Subdivision Editor, not the subdivision renderer.

I’ve tested this a bunch of times and in different iterations and situations, but it’s always the same.

Any idea why that would happen?

    Thanks.

at a guess it sounds maybe like you made the cube editable with Separate Surfaces checked

Thanks, but Nope. I haven’t made the cube editable at all.

Does anyone else have this issue – I’m on the 9.6 update.

    Thanks.

    A –

Are you viewing the render in the workspace window, or in the picture window?

Your workspace is probably reflecting your 1subd. Try Shift-R.

    Same Error?

In the Camera View, go to > Display > Level Of Detail > Use Render LOD for Editor Rendering.
Otherwise the Editor Subdivision level is used,
