    Hello!

I just bought an HVX200a less than a month ago and everything had been great so far… until this morning. I was filming a church service when I notcied on the LCD screen that it was glitching occassionally. I was hoping my eyes were playing tricks on me, or that the glitches were only on the screen and not being recorded, but I viewed it in FCP and the glitches were still there. Does anyone know what this is? Can support fix this problem under the warrenty?

    Care to be more specific?

The image jerks. Doesn’t pause or anything, just jumps sideways for a millisecond.

Could be anything- send in for repair. As long as you haven’t dropped it or something else negligent it should be under warranty.

Was the camera on a tripod and did you have OIS on? When OIS is on there’s a little hand with shaky waves around it. OIS is meant to help stabilize handheld shots, but it can work in strange ways if you’re on a tripod.

Yes and yes. I really hope that’s all it was! I’ll be sure to turn of OIS next time I use a tripod! Thanks for your help!

I had the same thing happen to mine. During a pan, the image would jump just a touch. I’ll try and turn OIS off as well.
