I have shot 1080/24p on it. It’s absolutely unquestionably without a doubt now and forever completely and thoroughly capable of shooting 1080/24p and 1080/30p. Yes yes yes yes yes it does 1080/24p and 1080/30p. Yes it will have 1080p. Yes.

(this is a rumor that won’t go away, so I’m trying to answer it once and for all!) 🙂

You guys are lucky; with “ntsc” model you can shoot both for theathrical release (24fps) and for television (30fps) with same camera. People in PAL countries needs two cameras for that.

thanks everybody for responding. I will be able to recommend the hvx200 to the college I work for. So then I can shoot a movie with them. It’s actually not just for my personal use cause they now have plasmas and they want content that can take advantage of the widescreen aspect. Thank you good folks P2 WHAT WHAT!I never thought I would say that.
