I begin shooting a short documentary in a few weeks and we have just purchased an HVX200 and will begin testing next week. It looks as though we will not be able to get our Barry Green book before we leave so I have been looking high and low for scene files similar to the ones Panasonic has posted for the SDX900. I am having no luck. Do any of you folks know where some folks may have scene files posted? We would love to have access to a few for testing purposes.

If you poke around a bit on dvx user dot com you might find something.

I found a few there, but they are very unorganized and the download site that was set up there is now gone. I was hoping there were more out there somewhere. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Ken,

The files that are in the Barry Green book do not look like the files that we had set up for the SDX900. Those were done by Mike Caporale, and so far Mike has not had to time to put together matching files for me.

My suggestion for you is to use the camera in a straight setting that will give you flexibility later. You can make some judgments about with Gamma, Color and detail to use, as long as you have an HD monitor. If not, stay vanilla.

    Hope that helps,

Thanks for the help. I can’t wait for this camera to get here. I’ve heard so many good things about it. Now it’s time to play!
