iam planning to shoot a feature in 720p. i love the filmic images the hvx gives and i want the audio to excel too. i will be recording dialogue scenes and wondering if the 302 mixer is plenty recording into the hvx at 16/48khz or do i absolutely have to have a seperate recorder?

It would solve a lot of picture sync issues down the road, that’s what I would do. Keep it simple.

“everything is broken” ……1st. coined by Esther Philips I believe.

We have had a lot of success recording directly into the camera. We use a Shure FP33 and record to both channels with one about 3 db less to avoid clipping.

They are a little noisy (I mostly use MK2s when I go direct in), but nothing that couldn’t be taken care of in post. Certainely great for the camera.
