Shooting a live charity concert with (4) HVX200’s on January 28th. The concert will run about 5-7 hours, depending on the length of each band’s set (30-60 minutes) & time between bands (10-20 minutes). We have 2-3 laptops to transfer P2 cards to hard drives with. We have (3) 8GB and (4) 4GB P2 cards, and are planning on renting 6-9 additional 8GB cards.

Any thoughts and/or suggestions to make this run as smooth as possible? Thanks!

Buy P2 Genie for $33. This automates the download process by creating new folders and copying over all the data to those folder. And you can set it up to do this automatically to an external drive. It will begin the process the instant it detects the card. Or you can do this manually by pressing one button.

And it works on Macs AND PCs.

    Hi,

I would suggest to get a at least 3 8GB cards per camera and laptop for each camera so yu can manage downloading during a break. Also get a slate with TC running on a display and shoot it with cameras prior to set.
