My HVX 200 is on the fritz! When in MANUAL FOCUS, the lens will jitter in and out of focus. The camera makes a noise similar to the servo zoom mechanism. Have tested several conditions; in studio vs. outdoors, narrow lens vs. wide (no consistency related to focal length), P2 vs tape, shutter vs none, variable iris and ND’s…This is an intermittent problem that completely diables the camera.

Any thoughts are welcome. Must solve!

    Thanks.

    FIRST QUESTION:

(Regardless of what you have told us the setting on the camera is…..)

Are you using an external zoom/focus controller?

I edit video. I post sometimes.
I fix things. I eat marshmallows.
I play drums. I drink scotch.
    I like TV.

    Done typing now.
