hvx200, fcpx, 1080/24P when I meant to use 1080/24PA mistake
Long story short, our hvx200 got changed from 1080/24PA to 1080/24P and now I have all kinds of ruckus in FCPX.
When I import, if I choose to note remove pulldown the footage plays as interlaced and the inspector show framerate of 29.97 and pulldown of 2:3
If I do remove pulldown the inspector show framerate of 23.98 and pulldown of 2:3, however the video is speed up quite a bit, audio is still the same speed.Any suggestions so I can get this to work like all the 24PA footage we shot? A bulk converter would be best as I have 8 cards that I messed up like this

Seems the solution there was to run Cinema Tools, do you know if thats works on10.10.5 -
I sold my HVX a while back but I seem to remember if the clips aren’t flagged for pulldown removal, FCP X still removes the pulldown fields on the timeline correctly.
If you put the 29.97 clips on a 23.98p timeline, see if it looks correct if you go frame by frame. (IE no interlaced fields)

What you can do in compressor is reverse telecine the footage and transcode to ProRes. Since the HVX records on a consistent pulldown you just need to figure out what the pulldown cadence is and make a setting.
You don’t want to use cinema tools with FCP X as it doesn’t make clips that are fully compatible with AVFoundation.
If you post one of your shorter clips I could make you a compressor droplet.

That would be helpful, would compressor work off the card structure?
I created a :05 test clip but might be to big to post here(card image is 85MB zipped). Does you have some where I could upload it to you?

I would need an untouched raw clip from the card. If it’s been transcoded it may not work. You could do wetransfer which is free up to 2GB files.

Thanks for the offer but it appears Compressor will not work with the P2 structure( I could not find a way). I can import the .mxf but I would have no audio. Is there way to do this in compressor?I am going to try MXFX.

Can you import them by just letting FCP X rewrap them to QuickTime files? That’s all I would need. Apologies for not being more clear earlier. This would be without removing pulldown obv.
Transcoding the codec could muss it up, not rewrapping.

Not to my knowledge, in “Import media” I point it to the card structure and it imports(no pulldown removal) so it is native 1080i/24p @ 29.97.
Are you saying I should try something like Raylight to create the wrapper? What could I use to create the QT wrapper?
