HVX200 1080i 60i FCP confusion, need help
I apologize for my lack of knowledge at the get go, here. I have been getting so much contradictory info on this camera…
I am shooting a film to be dressed up in Shake, then transfered to 35 at the end. The DP I used for the first week shot on the HVX200. I asked for it to be 1080p 24p (per some fx gurus). When I got the footage into FCP, it says it’s 1080i 60i. I am waiting for my FCP upgrade to arrive so I can move from 5.0.4 to 5.1 However, we have another week of shooting and I do not have that same DP this go round and he is unreachable.
My questions:
With 5.1, will that 1080i 60i footage become 1080p 24p with FCP 5.1 (ala some checkbox option)?
When we shoot this week, do we shoot in the 1080i/24p mode? Or the 1080/60i mode? Or another mode so it is the same?(System: G5 Dual, 4.5 RAM, Blackmagic Decklink)

You need to shoot in 24pA.
