HVX & RED (once again)
Hi,
If anyone has an advice it would be much appreciated…!
I’m doing a production next week using the Red One shooting 4K and HVX200.. The Red will be used for various elements shots that will be keyed and tracked, and the HVX will be used to shoot the backgrounds that will eventually go together. My problem is that I have little experience with the Red camera, and I’m worried that the results may not match in appearance. I’m sure this could be sorted in post but I would obviously like to set up the HVX to mimic the Red look to it’s fullest potential.
The end product will be 720p – we are only shooting the elements 4K to make the VFX post more efficient.
Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Match frame rates and have a great monitor on set. Beyond that it’s just a lot of tweaking. Hopefully your DP knows a lot about the HVX and the RED.
