    Hi Jan

I just got my HVX with a couple of P2 8GB cards. I have a couple of questions which my reseller were not able to answer and didnt know where to direct me.

    1. Other than using the camera itself, what is the simplest way to dub DVCProHD footage via Firewire to my AJ-1200a deck? The P2 Drive and P2 Store dont have Firewire.

    2. How does the camera correct lit/blown pixels and what is Panasonic’s warranty/ policy here. I have a couple of Varicam’s and they occasionally need some work on the pixels.

    3. The Component Connector on my camera looses its signal if I move the camera around too much. The connector is a loose one ( by design ). Is this normal or do I have a problem connector?

Thanks for the time. If there is a number of a service dept I should be contacting I would be grateful for the info.

Load the footage into a computer and output from the NLE timeline or use the camera.

It is done by service in much the same way, the pixels are masked just as they are in the Varicam or any other camera in the industry.

The connection is a loose one so that it is not inadvertantly broken off. Don’t move the camera as much or if you are attaching it to a moving jib. then secure the end of the cable near the camera so that that end of the cable does not have the opportunity to move.

    Hope that helps,

At this point in time it is the same as those connected with the VariCam.
