  HVX-Grey Thumbnails, Red X, No timecode…!?

  So, I’ve been using 3, 8 gig cards on an ongoing project for the last 4months. I’ve probably put a around 200 hrs over the 3 cards. Last time out, when we were ingesting one of the cards onto our laptop/drives the thumbnails showed up grey, with a red x, and no time code. I tried to repair the clips in the camera and they showed as irreparable. In addition, a part of a clip that we shot many weeks prior to this event (and had subsequently formatted and recorded on the card many times) showed up on the card. So, I’m wondering if anyone can give insight to…
  -can the files on the card be repaired somehow?
  -why did this happen?
  -is the card trustable to use again in the future?
