  • HVX 720p/25pn to betacam ?

    Hi everybody,

I shot a videoclip with the HVX201 AE in 720/25pn. Now the client tells me that one tv station accepts Betacam only.
Is there a way that I can deliver this clip as Betacam to the client?

    Thank you.

And… I edit with Sony Vegas Pro (don’t know if this is important to know).

    Hi David,
Firstly, where are you, which PAL region?
Is it Betacam, Betacam SP, Digital Betacam, or Betacam IMX?
Do you have access to a firewire to SDI converter? These can be rented from many places around the world, assuming you have firewire bus on the machine you cut with. You can then rent, borrow an appropriate VTR to master to. (I’m assuming that you don’t have a video card with SDI, Component output.)
Another option that might be easier, is contact your local dub house and see if they can take .mov files, or like, and they can dub for you. More and more dub houses are receiving masters on drives and dubbing to the required format.
Also, have you checked with the local station to see if they take file based delivery? Most TVC’s in Australia are delivered this way.
    Matthew.

Sorry for the late response. I’ve been away.
I think i’ll go for the local dub house.
Thank you for the info !!
