Has anyone successfully recorded any HD digital signal through the firewire port of the 200A onto Adobe Premiere PRo CS4?

I can successfully capture SD onto my HDD via Adobe Pr CS4, but not HD signals.
The camera simply can’t be recognized by Device Control of Pr Pro.and also not by the OS (Win7, high end Laptop).

DO I nedd to do any changes in the Menue of the camera? Any help highly appreciated.

    THanks

If your camera is in a pN mode in 720p, there is no firewire signal.

Shoot in regular p mode and you will have a fw signal.

THanks for the help. Yes, you are right, the camera does send out a stream in p mode, but in the meanwhile I found out that Premiere Pro CS4 can’t direclty capture DVCPRO HD. Only Adobe OnLocation can. On Location creates an AVI file and I still need to find out if it is kind of the same quality like the P2 files recorded to the camera’s P2 card.

I aso tried Telestream Wirecast and it also doesn’t work with DVCPRO HD signals. Will try if it works with DVCPRO signal.

    Greetings Mike
