    Hey there… Need Help!!

We shot on a HVX-200A at 720p30 to the Firestore FS-100 with the P2 PN setting instead of QT.

Neglecting to organize reels, we copied only the folder with the mxf files in it and reformatted the drive. We lost the lastclip.txt and all other folders on the drive. In the past we used the QT setting on the FS-100 and all was well. We missed that step this time around.

Now all I have is this folder. Is there any way to convert these files so we can access them for edit in FCP?

    Thanks!

try copying the files back to the FS and then do the organize P2. that is your only shot at the footage.

MXF4mac’s MXF import coupled with the new and in beta ‘Atomic Fusion’ can allow you to organize the clips and fire them over to FCP. It’s very easy and simple. Atomic Fusion can find and connect al of the disorganized MXF audio/video and send them over as connected movies to FCP. It’s very slick.

That worked! We had to reformat the FS-100, copy the folder of mxf files into the ‘0’ folder and run ORGANIZE P2.

Hooked up the Mac, FCP – Log and Transfer – they all showed up.

    Thanks for the expertise!
